With respect to Robert's workmanship as I was looking over my pics I noticed this particular picture. Please note that I had just thrown the kilt on to take pictures and didn't fully adjust it. Bunching of the MOLLE straps is because the straps we're only looped through the top row of webbing. Had I have interlaced it as I'm supposed to this would most definatly not have happed as the Beaty of MOLLE is the support and load bearing characteristics. That area would have been flat even if I'm not anymore .
Better pics will be coming shortly and in full gear, (paintball markers at Mods discretion).

grant...I've been waiting for this thread for awhile...and let me say.......I LOVE IT!!!!
Dude, that kilt is absolutely killer. I can't wait till you've skirmished in it. I want the full review. Let us all know how it holds up on the battleground.
As an aside.....do you ever get east at all? I'd love to introduce you to the guys at my local paintball field. There's a small senario game happening in Nova Scotia next month I'm attending, it would be a good excuse to go on a vaction.
And I'd also love to introduce you to a game of airsoft.
cool Tac-8 too.
man...we sooooooo have to hang out some time.

Thanks for your great comments. Introduce me how? Like my group like like to "introduce" me the little geletin filled balls of dye hurtling toward me at an alarming rate? Sorry furthest East I've been is Montreal years ago. However my buddy in NB just had a baby...

As one who employs much of the gear that you picture for use with "real-steel" I can't begin to convey how impressed I am with the collaboration on this kilt!
RKilts should add this copyrighted design to his line and charge a fortune for it.
I would suggest that a hole for the upper strap for the thigh rig be made. A heavier chunk of steel, brass and lead would need the stability while running.
Simply OUTSTANDING!

Did you ever think of getting one of the small trauma plates for soft body armor to cover the "under sporran" area?

With all the thicknesses of material and a correctly position pocket for stiff foam plus semi-light padding of my sliding shorts, I feel would be enough 'shock mitigation' add the dump pouch 'sporran' which completely covers that vulnerable area might even be overkill. My chest rig of course is a plate carrier, but in paintball you need to know that you've been hit to call yourself out, it's a game of honour and elimination during the game and not to count the splotches at the end of the day.

Dear God, I just had a disturbing mental image of Grant doing a "John-Woo-screaming-slo-mo-double-pistol-dive-over-a-car-hood".
(looking for a rusty spork to gouge out my mind's eye...)

That kilt is awesome. I just started playing kilted last year. I too am a pretty heavy duty paintball junkie. I got a kilt made for me last year out of desert camo. Stuff was a little light but she did a awesome job. I wear dye sliders under it and it works out pretty well. Were heading up to a big pump only game in Illinois in April. You should join us!

Thanks guys for all the supportive comments.
I had a lot of fun building this kilt. Thanks Grant for getting my butt in gear to build it.
Some of the features will be incorporated in future Rkilts
