I voted for Nightstalker - it will go so well with his Clan Destine look.

I can not believe that someone as well turned out as Panache does not yet have a Black Stewart kilt it is a wonderful looking tartan that can be worn so many different ways, therefore I would say go for your favourite and get the Black Stewart.

I'm becoming a gigantic fan of the "weathered" and "ancient"' color tartans in earth colors. I drool over WalkerK's weathered Johnston, for example. Ditto for Wompets "Sackett" tartan and way2freactious's box pleat in that weathered tartan. I SO wish there was something analgous for MacNaughton or Hall. So normally I'd pick the weathered MacKenzie.

but you'll all likely be hanging 'round the MacLaren tent at upcoming games, yanno?

i wait with bated breath and hopeful heart for the day that MacNewsome designed a "weathered" Xmarks tartan.

Actually, if he is a Winter, the Black Stewart's black and read is perfect for him. He should look very good in stark black and white with a dash of red.

    * I'll try to shush now.

It was the first tartan kilt? Then by all means, baste and press that thing and keep it around! That has SENTIMENTAL value.

    Just curious thats all....
I just don't like that bright, basic, color-wheel green. It seems so Leprechaunish. And it makes Panache look too florid somehow.

We will be keeping the old kilt, I just don't think it is fit to wear as a representation of a kilt for the general public. He can still wear it hiking, etc.

Yep, maybe we'll hang it on the wall!

    C'mon Mackenzie!

I'm counting on Panache to develop a Wool allergy!

I'm going to go with Black Stewart because it is a beautiful Kilt and because, it appears, Panache might get some extra compliments and general niceness if he acquiesces to your wishes.

Black Stewart is by far my favorite tartan, aside from Colorado's. So I say the BS. (No pun intended by the acronym. )
