Hmm?! Maybe, but I guess it depends on which breed of dog!
Cheers, Graham.

Well I went out today. It was GREAT. No problems at all, I left around 9:00AM this morning and just got back. The first place I went to was Wally World. Not one comment was made at all. Just a few people rubber-necking. LOL The next place I went was the mall. I walk around there for a few hours looking and found a great little shop. It had all kinds of great thing to buy. It was a shop that had things from all over the world. Needless to say I went broke in there. LOL After the shopping spree in the mall I went to Ruby Tuesdays and grab a bite to eat and a few drinks to boot. The bartender was quite nice. There's nothing like a good Jameson on the rocks, served by a pretty bartender.
To wrap this up not one word was say about me wearing a kilt. No bad comments and no good ones ether. So it was the perfect first time outing in a kilt for me.
I want to thank all of you for getting me ready for my first time outing in my new kilt. I am online looking to buy three more kilts. So I can trash all of my blue jeans and shorts. I will be going full time kilting in a few more weeks. As soon as I get ten kilts all together.
Thanks again and hope to meet you in my travels, Todd

No offence but it looks like it's been painted on bricks.
I think it is painted on concrete bricks. Sometimes called cinder blocks.

Or take a couple of kids, borrowed if need be, who like to touch everything and go to a store. That will take your mind off your kilt really quick.

No no... you are quite right. I hung it up initially to see if some of the creases would fall out where it had been folded for so long, but I had no success. I'll get to it with the iron this weekend.

Sounds like a very good first outing. The first is always the toughest to get worked into, but they get easier as you go. Just remember walk proud and don't let the idgits get you down. There are ignorant people everywere, such as the lads with their pants hanging around their knees that I ran into in Chicago last weekend. Don't pay them any mind and keep on as if nothing is wrong. You'll soon notice that you get lots more positive comments than you do the occasional negative.

Great first day! I do not think I can go kilted everyday as I'd hate to get mine as dirty as my pants. I am the only computer guys for a company that owns 14 convenience stores, a lumber yard, a hotel and two offices. So you can imagine how dirty/dusty some of the computers and the floor around them end up. Some days it couldn't be worse than if I was working in a coal mine lol.

Glad to hear your first outing went well. Dave is correct about the dog thing. When Indy and I are out on a trail, we always get possitive comments like "Beautiful dog, nice kilt." or "Great lookin' kilt, nice dog." They really help ease the initial tension of first outings and are great later on for confidence builders.

I was there last night kilted (under a trench coat because of the wind, and I heard the cashier say "I thought you were wearing shorts, but when you turned around it made sense. I knew it was to cold for shorts."
