As the Boudicca could not moor in Skolden we were ferried across in a tender.
These houses look quite recent but they are patriotically displaying the Norwegian Flag.

And for scale, looking back at the Boudicca at anchor.

The side of the Skolden village inn.

Some more Skolden buildings.
Skolden lies on the edge of the Jotunheimen National Park - Oddern has shown some pictures of this in another thread.

Looking towards "downtown" Skolden. This stands on a tongue of land between two rivers.

Footbridge over the river that flows from Eidsvatnet lake into Lusterfjord.

Another view of the same bridge. I wonder why the supports are stone on one side and wood on the other!

And the view from the bridge with the Boudicca dwarfed by the scenery. There is still some snow on the mountain tops.

And Mum on the bridge.

Greate pics Trefor.
We Norwegians gets a special feeling inside when we see such great pictures of our homeland.
From sea level to the mountain peaks you see can be a 1000 meters or more. The snow is here often throughout the year, especially when there has been a snowy winter.
Skål!

Glad you are enjoying them Oddern!
Mum on the bridge looking in the other direction.

A sea bird chose a rock in the middle of the river to make its nest.

Lovely three storey wooden building.

I'm really liking this photologue.
By the way, you have a young-looking mother. I hope she enjoyed the trip as much as we've enjoyed these pics!

More Skolden buildings against their dramatic scenic background.

The village shop.

A couple of Norwegian children in the café where we took refreshment.
