IT'S HERE!! New Pittsburgh Kilt arrived
While I was off gigging in Schenectady, my new faux-suede PK arrived here in Brooklyn. My wife and daughter (who think EVERYTHING is a Christmas present right now!) promply placed it under the tree to await my return.
This is only my second kilt, but both my wife and I were blown away by the garment I recieved. It's heavy and looks and feels substantial. Wifey can't keep her hands off it - not that that's a bad thing!
Unfortunately, i think I let a bit of vanity into my measuring (plus it's a very different design than my UK) so once I drop about 5 lbs, I'll be SMOKIN'! I love the fabric. It's a little stiff right now, but I expect it'll soften up as I wear it (and wash it, etc)
Now I have something new to wear on those Vancouver gigs!
JEFF, my man! Great job (and done pretty quickly too!)
Excuse me, I gotta go swish my pleats!

Congratulations, Jazz Man. The suede PK is amazing. It washes well, too. I'm sure you'll enjoy it even more than your wife does ... and she'll enjoy it plenty.
Jeff has been busy making kilts this season. He sent me my newest Pittsburgh Kilt on Monday. This one's so amazing that not only does it deserve its own posting topic, it deserves its own posting category. (Pictures coming after Christmas.)

There's a lot of "solid" kilts out there, but I can speak first-hand that there's NOTHING like the effort, crafsmanship, care and quality that Jeff puts into those kilts! It's almost unfair to the rest of the solid kiltmakers. So many solids are the same old, same old... then Jeff puts these out there with GREAT materials, GREAT construction, and the ability and patience to do custom work.
Enjoy that baby! They're worth their price in pleats.
Arise. Kill. Eat.

Actually, it was your suede PK pic on Jeff's site that sold me on it. Now I'm already planning the next one! Shhh! Don't tell the wife...

Well, blush, I mean. You're talkin' 'bout this one:http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/a...php?pic_id=112.
It's still one of my favorites. It's amazing, in fact. And it's just a hint of what Jeff can do with a kilt.
