    Wet and Windy new year

I've posted a few piccies in my gallery of some outdoor activities over the new year.

Our weather was wet and windy, a real test for the kilts.
It's nice having a few kilts so I can choose the best kilt for the weather.

Suppose you're used to such wet summer weather.

Nice photos Graham! Nice too that you should have so many good friends, and family, around you at the New Year. I wasn't so lucky - but that's neither here nor there!

It would seem that your Tasmanian summers are very similar to those we usually experience here in England!!

Glen, there is no doubt that I was the most comfortable. Among the hikers, everyone ended up with cold wet trousers around their legs - except me!

Hiking in a kilt is the worlds' biggest clothing secret yet to be fully discovered.

Hamish, sorry you were short of friends on the new Year, I find that hard to believe. Maybe next year I'll come over and help you with that single malt you are struggling to empty

David, yes I decided to have a New Years' cleanout of photos, and hope to add some more fresh piccies.

Och well, I'm getting used to it Graham. Most of my neighbours are, like me, retired and go off to their families for the festivities. My friends, on the other hand, if not similarly occupied with their families, live considerable distances away. It is often said that Widows find themselves ignored by former friends who still have their partners - it's the same for us 'widowers'!

If that is a threat, or even a promise, Graham you'd be more than welcome Whilst I have several whiskies in the house (Glenmorangie 10 years old, Glenmorangie Port Wood Finish and Glenfarclas 10 years old) I really don't touch them - except for medicinal purposes! More of a G&T man myself, or a fine Cognac perhaps! You'd be welcome to the malts ............ a dram at a time, of course!
