It was CTV, channel 4 in Timmins, there was a guy on stage in a kilt........wait a second, it was ME!!!!!

Sears District Drama Festival 2005. Both the plays from my school performed last night, and during our technical rehearsal in the afternoon a film crew showed up and asked if they could film a bit of our practice, which we had absolutely no problem with. The awards ceremony was also last night, and my play came away with one of the Wild Card slots for the Regional festival, which my school is hosting, so it'll be nice to actually get to participate. And, oh ya, this guy right here came away with an Award of Excellence for acting, which was a really nice confidence boost, after three years of doing Sears, to finally have some sign that I haven't just been wasting my time.

When we got back to the hotel, my two roomates and I went to our room, you know, still in high spirits from our win, and I pick up the remote for the TV, and turn it on, and there isn't anthing on the first channel, so I go up one... and freeze. Cause THERE I AM!! My one roomate, who was actually my director, went running out into the hall to yell to our other people to turn on their TVs (though by this time the segment was past), not realising that he didn't have a shirt on anymore. Then I proceded to go out and run up and down the hall like Jim Carrey in the dream sequence in Cable Guy.

Untoruneately, TDSS (my school) didn't get the Haskins award for School Spirit for a third year, but on that front there's alwys next year!!!

So, all in all a nice weekend, a bit more frustration because I developed a some more liking in a girl an dcan't scrounge up the courage to ask her out, but that's not really new. And, if anybody's going to happen to be in or near Cobalt, Otario on April 28, 29, or 30, come on down to the Classic Theatre for a night of high-school theatre at its best!!
