The High School Plunge
Well, I decided to take the kilt to school today, no sense in waiting any longer anyways! I got a great reaction all-round, teachers and staff included. I got a lot of "Whay are you wearing that kilt-skirt-thing?" A simple reply of "Why not?" tended to get me a grin and a thumbs up. Closest thing to a negative comments I heard was some guy walking behind me at my locker wondering "dude, why's that guy in a skirt?" But hey, no skin off my back! All in all, a great success!

Glad to hear it. Good to see that the klit is being worn by all ages!

Well done sir, and a brave move. Even those who are apathetic about kilts have still affirmed my own bravery, and I think perhaps that wearing one in high school is one of the bravest acts.

I agree, a brave act indeed. It's encouraging to see a young man prepared to stand out from the crowd and wear the kilt.
Well done, you have my admiration!

Such a joy! Thanks Jewdda!
You'll need a kilt from now on, no room for your balls in pants anymore. You deserve to be proud.
Showing up at work kilted someday will be a yawner now.
If you have any interest in school politics bet you could win most of the female vote for any office you chose to run for as the "kilted candidate" with the slogan FREEDOM!
And THANK YOU. It does an old man's heart good to know that there are young men coming up with courage...the world will continue in good hands.

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."

Well hopefully I'll be able to keep the courage and tradition alive for some time to come.
