Adams County Irish Fest Report
Hey guys, for those that couldn't make it, here's a brief outline of the day:
1. RAIN!!! The thunderstorms made sure that the festival grounds were damp, but the guinness made sure that the attendees weren't!
2.Some decent vendors present, but not many kilt-related products.
3. Saw a decent number of kilted guys, mainly traditionals, but saw some USA Kilts, some UK's, and at least one Bear, surprisingly!
4.Music! One of the highlights of the day was definitely getting to hear the legendary Derek Warfield, formerly the leader of the Wolfetones. A NATION ONCE AGAIN!!!
5. The next band was so good that they deserve their own bullet on my list: BARLEYJUICE!!! (Jimmy: make sure my brown-nosing is duly noted... ;) ) In all seriousness, Barleyjuice played a great set, and definitely made waiting in the rain worth it!
All in all, made for a fun outing, despite the rain and mud. Spotted a few XMarks guys, including Dave from Frederick, and of course, Mr. Carbomb himself...

I saw you across the crowd Sav, but just didn't get a chance to speak with you. Barleyjuice was a good show. I told people in my office the weather was hot with periods of rain, not great weather, but a good festival. I was worn out when I got home that evening.

Glad you guys made it out!
I came in straight from work, and was in a rush just to hit the stage. That was my Pittsburgh Kilt up there. If it wasn't for my wife making Guinness runs for me, I'm not sure that I would have made it through the set.
I made to sure to grab one of those Guinness cowboy hats from that vendor near the middle of the grounds. Sneaky Pete... and old friend... was there to KILL me with the smoke from his grills.
If you happened to see my wife's kilt, that was a camoflauge kilt with 25 narrow pleats, wide apron, side (embroidered) pocket, and strapped waist. It looks casual, but has the "sway" of a traditional.
Hopefully, I'll be a little less tied-up with the "meet and greets" and CD signings next time.

Hey Jimmy. I did notice the PK on stage, looked great! Also noticed the kilt on your bonnie wife! ;) Another great looking kilt!! I like the casual style with the characteristics of a traditional. Looking forward to seeing Barleyjuice again soon!
