Kilted out and about
Well I have to report to you my kilted brothers today was my first time out and about in my kilt! I've worn it before to many pipe band engagement and to weddings including my own but somehow today was going to be different.
I decided to get up this morning and put on my best kilt , this is my Red Robertson army issue 8 yarder issued to me some 17 years ago, this kilt makes me feel great and gives me confidence ( I was married in this one).
Anyhow I went out for a walk on our local common about half a mile away to feed the swans and ducks, the event was unnoticed by just about everyone. No rude comments, a few double takes from people going about their business in their cars, one swerved a bit on his double take which was rather amusing, I saw a few people on the common itself but they paid me little or no attention at all ,I don't know what I was worried about.
I have to thank davedove for his thread on The Act of Procription and Derek for his out and about threads because these people helped make today happen.
What's next ? I don't know just wondering if Croydons (local shopping area) is ready for me!
