Finally made it here
My wife has been emailing me links to sign up here, as she think this is the perfect place for me, so here I am.
I'm Grimm - by name, not demeanor - and I've been wearing kilts for about 8 or 9 years - since high school. Oddly enough all of my kilts were given to me as gifts from my grandmother. I believe she made them since there are no tags on them at all and she was always sewing something. I only wear them a couple of times a year, mostly because they are, uh, getting too small - my 34 inch waist has become a thing of the past. I'm looking to buy one to wear on a daily basis to work and school, but I'm a student and therefore poorer than dirt.
I'm attending school in Hawaii so I have no interaction at all with other kilt wearers. I had planned to go to the Hawaiian Scottish Festival that they had here in April (surely I would meet other kilted lads there?) but we were out of town that weekend. We're shooting for next years.

Welcome Grimm. You'll find plenty of resourses here for daily wear kilts, solis or tartan, traditional or casual styles.

Grimm,
WELCOME! A friend from the coffee shop I hang out with has a daughter at the University of Hawaii, so I do know a little bit about the campus life over there (well at least from her Father).
Plenty of options as far as getting fairly good quality kilts for a low price including these three (not in any particular favorite order)

I love all of mine!
