Southern California
Alright, it seems we've gained a few more local members in SoCal since the last time I tried this. Let's try to get an idea of who's around, and approximately where you are. If there's enough of us concentrated in an area (...north, south, middle SoCal) then maybe we can get some kilt nights started.
I can think of a few of us, but if I've forgotten you, now's the time to speak up.

Iolaus (Me - Jeff) - Westminster
Yaish - Anahiem Hills
Silverlake Punk - Eagle Rock
Shotdir - Riverside
Zyzzyx - Ventura

Anyone else?

Anaheim Hills, which is basically just another part of Anaheim.
Interested in getting a kilt night going? There is that brewpub in HB that has the kilted brewmaster we can probably arrange something with. (right across the street from Gallaghers, where American Wake plays)

...and if we timed it right, we could carry the party on over to Gallaghers when the band gets started. That'd be cool, but it kinda depends on where people are. SoCal is a big place and Downtown HB is nowhere near a freeway.
Another possibility might be Muldoons Irish Pub in Newport Beach. They have a kilt contest every year; I'm sure they'd welcome us... though again, they're nowhere near a freeway.

If we are looking for Freeway access then the Irvine Spectrum might be a good bet. Its right at the intersection of the 5 and the 405 and is pretty easy to get to.
It also has several restaurant/bars that could support a get together. Fox Sports Grill, Crazy Horse, PF Changs, Champs, etc...
They may not be specifically kilt friendly but they are all pretty used to seeing me by now. I just got asked by the girl in the cigar store there "Do you even OWN any regular pants?" (After seeing me in a Choc Workmans, Black Workmans, and now Nightwatch Camo)

I'm a bit north of you folks, but we still call it SoCal up here in Ventura.

I don't know, with SP up near Pasedena, and Shotdir in Riverside, maybe we need something north of us, or at least no further south.
I just looked at a map, and it looks like you're at the midpoint there in Anahiem - 91/57/5 area; unless we get some more people further south, it looks like central OC is the place to be (but then we knew that ;))
Maybe we should just go with HB, after all Beach Blvd. is practically a freeway , isn't it?.
