Alas, no PK in the immediate future

Waited to long. Kim said order the PK so I emailed Jeff. He's out of the kilt game, at least temporarily. He did send me a very nice response.
Good luck on the programing Jeff.

Programming is Jeff's "other" hat so maybe he's just busy. I know they have a new baby abt 2 months old - maybe he needs to sleep.

    Dee,

Thanks! Was not sure whether Jeff did this full time or not and now I know! Being an IT guy myself, maybe I should call and offer some help. Of course, it might be a little selfish as I am waiting for Jeff to finish 2 kilts for me!

Hi Guys, and thanks for the concern!

Yes, I've taken a contract programming job, and I'm putting the kilt making on hold for as long as the contract lasts. I love the kilt making, but just can't make ends meet on the kilting income. (Suppose I should have appended this to the "economic theory" thread.)

I'm still working to deliver the twelve (or so) kilts that are on order, and I'll certainly let you all know when I go back to full time kiltmaking.

What more can I say? Order from Steve, Rocky, & Bear now, before imported Pakistani junk is your ONLY option.

    Peace,

Jeff... I know what kind of spot you're in... luckily Kelly's a cheap date and we don't have any kids (knocking on wood as I type this). Good luck with the programming thing. I hope it helps to tie you over so that you can get back to making top quality kilts!

You said it... I was thinking it. High quality, decent wage jobs aren't appreciated in this age of Walmart and other big box stores. Hey... at least you have something to fall back on and help you along. I just signed a 2 year lease on the new shop!

    SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!

    Talk about mixed emotions!!

Jeff's one of the best contemporary kiltmakers out there...and one that brought wild ideas to reality.

Always want the best for Jeff, gotta trust his judgement.

Dang, does this mean my three PKs have historic value...??

Thanks for all you've done for this kilt boom Jeff. Do hope you'll keep your thimble in the game.
