Out and about in Binghamton, NY
Before meeting up with the gang for a kilt night on Saturday (see the pics forum), my wife and I went out to dinner and did a little shopping.
Lots of covert looks, a few kids who did not know what to make of it, and a few reportable reactions:
The first was in Pizzeria Uno. After we checked in and headed to the bar to wait for our table, I caught a smile from a pretty young woman. It was one of those sweet/devilish smiles, looking me right in the eye, that would absolutely have made me go over and introduce myself, were I not happily married and, more importantly, in the immediate company of the woman to whom I am happily married.
The other was in Wal-Mart. I caught the eye of a guy, mid-twenties, I'd say, who kinda stammered, "Nice kilt." I thanked him and we parted ways. No further conversation.
At McGirk's Irish Pub, I was the last of the kilted brethren to arrive. I heard some lady say, "There's another one!"

Too funny. I can just picture her increased puzzlement each time another kilt clad gent entered the pub.

What she meant was, "There's another X-Marks member!"
