    Light reading suggestion

I just found out my school library has "Holinshed's Chronicles of England, Scotland, and Ireland." You should see if your own local library has it some time. You know, for some light reading.

And back to work I go.

If I remember my Eng Lit classes well enough, wasn't it Holinshed that provided Shakespear with much of the material for his 'historical' plays?

Yes, the Chronicles are one of the major sources for the English History plays. At the moment I'm only half interested in how he influenced Shakespeare, what I really want to know is how Holinshed portrayed the Wars of the Roses, since I'm working on a paper that's partially about modern misconceptions about the wars and how modern historians are currently in the process of chainging those long-held views (especially in regards to the peasantry).
