We'll also have returning performers Jed Marum, Beyond the Pale, Smithfield Fair, Brothers 3(they were absent last year), Needfire, Sarah Dinan, The Rogues, Scottish Mayhem, Trinity River Whalers, etc. Not to mention all the usual featured performers - Alex Beaton, Alasdair Fraser, Ed Miller, John Taylor, etc. Other performers may be confirmed at a later date.

Sherry, is there a web link for this festival? I don't see DFW as being THAT far out of range so MAYBE I can talk the wife into a trip down there.

We're trying to talk them in to bringing back the P&D competition back. You can never have too many pipers!

Do you mean the band competitions? There have always been solo comps. They just don't promote them to the public.

Yes, but there's been no feedback on it.

Planopiper,
We're always guilty of listing the evening pub headliners and forgetting the pipe and drums during the day. The pipe bands during the day are a standard and I always take time out to see them. We just take for granted they'll be there but enjoy them just the same. It's the evening after a busy day at the festivals that we let our hair down ( sometimes in more ways than one).
Theres no disrespect by any means to the pipe and drums. We are blessed to see some top notch pipe bands at the Fergus Games from all over Canada and the U.S. Never miss seeing as many as I can.
