Show of hands - Chicago kilt night?

I'm stepping sqaurely into it by asking this but...

...who's up for a Chicago area kilt night?

I've been reluctant to instigate this because I've been concerned about how difficult it might be to settle on a venue that everyone interested in the area could agree on and be able to get to without a lot of hassle. I see that the Washington State branch of the Kilted Brethren don't seem to think that driving clear across the entire state is much of a bother so how difficult could it be to round up the crew from Chicago and environs (suburbs, NW Indiana and any brave souls from SE Wisconsin as well).

Any takers and we'll figure out a venue? The Hye Bar in Chicago (North Side near Wrigley Field...you know; that place where the OTHER ball team plays) stands out as a possibility. Let's have a head count.

AA, I'm in. And near Wrigley is probably a good compromise location. At least for you and I! And it has the advantage, at least for anybody somewhat local, as having an abundance of public transportation options.

And there are so many good parking places around Wrigley Field. LOL Seriously, I can't promise anything, but I will watch the posts here for details. I don't live that far away from the city and drive up there quite often on my day off or to go to White Sox games.

That's the negative side of the joint around Wrigley...parking is next to impossible. The floor is open for any suggestions of any place with a parking lot (and that would almost fer certain mean it was in a suburb...not that there's anything wrong with that).

    Hey, Scotus!

    A fellow clergyman?

Do you have a clergy tartan kilt, yet?

I think it is worth mentioning that Chicago does have it's own Scottish pub; that is, The Duke of Perth, 2913 N. Clark. I am not saying this because I wear the Drummond tartan , but because some parishioners of mine bought some Scottish import beer for me last Christmas there. Sorry to say that I have not been there yet. They have great fish & chips, or so I am told.

Well *bump* that's three so far...we could have this kilt night in a phone booth if there were any phone booths left. No sense taking up room in a pub....just get a twelve pack and sit in the car in the parking lot of the all-night supermarket.

...and Scotus and KCW, certainly no offense to you two guys...hey, if there's three up for a get together, so be it...but anybody else?
