RESPONSES to -What's up yer kilt?!

Who get's this only every time you go out bekilted? I've had to get creative and quick for this one.( Now for those of you fine folk that have been here a while please excuse me if this very subject has been bought up previously, as i well imagine it may have!)
I reckon we could do with a source page to the question "What's up yer kilt?!". So here's a few I've invented and heard around the traps...

-By the time you find out it'll be too late for you love.
-you don't get something for nothing!
-there's nothing worn under the kilt. It's all in perfect working order. (spike milligan bless him)

and my personal favourite when i can pull it off:

    -Your wife's lipstick!

    Any others out there?

If she's good looking, I smile and ask, "How warm are your hands?"

If it's a guy, the lipstick comment works.

Another response that comes from Rennaisance Faires:

A lady wouldn't ask, and a wench would already know.

And of course you could always just say a blue ribbon.

    What's under your kilt?

    "The whole world."

    "My legs."

"That's for me to know, and for you to find out."

"You, if you play your cards right."

"I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you."

"I'll show you if you'll show me."

"Do you ordinarily ask about other people's underwear, or am I something special?"

    "Two corporals and a sergeant."

"That's a mystery understood only by a select few, little grasshopper."

that one was one of my favs. thanks lads and well responded. the links were good to.
i seem to cop the question ALOT. and from all walks too. maybe because i'm a musician and often wear it to gigs. and i'm a drummer at that so i'm generally "keeping it a family show" as i tell em. and in the six or so months of wearing i reckon i've been grabbed at least three times! last time was from this old girl who'd been drinking all arv.crickey.

best responses I usually get are from drunk females when I tell them "My wife's lipstick". They tend to look at me, a bit confused and quite shocked, and wind up drifting back to their beverage.

    always good for a laugh.
