Has anyone heard who's going to be the main attraction at the 30th Anniversary Longs peak festival at Estes park?

Okay, this is a stupid question, but it's something I've wondered about for a while. Why are those gatherings called Tattoo? What's the origin of that word usage? I'm just really curious and I've never had that explained to me.

Hi Joe,
I've been to the highland games/Tattoo at Estes park three times so far and I plan on going again this year. Usually people book their motel rooms a year in advance. However, I think you'll be able to find a place to roost if you start looking now.
