    it never ever fails.....

ok...so i've had my choco-brown workman's UK for well over a year (getting close to two actually) ...and in the begining, I wore it alot, at the very least once a week. And without fail, I always get a compliment on it. It doesn't matter if I wear it with an old t-shirt or a button down shirt...it ALWAYS gets me a compliment. I don't even think it's my fave causual kilt...but one thing for sure.....it really makes me feel good to wear.
I've actually made friends with people because of it.

I think from now on I am gonna make sure I try to comment on people's clothing (kilts or not) that I like. If I can make other people feel that good..then why not.

A compliment can and does go along way! Good luck on your mission.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the power of the kilt. What is your favorite casual?

Wear a kilt proudly and people notice. that is a great goal you have as well

I find myself commenting on unusual outfits when I'm driving my bus. I especially like the girls who wear the cute hats with the animal ears. I always try to compliment them.

I've started doing that myself. You just have to be careful how you might compliment a lady, especially at work. The last thing anyone wants is a sexual harrassment suit over a well intentioned compliment.

Not likely being that easily sued in this neck of the woods - eh Norway (and Finland too, I guess)...

Uhm...well, that's a tough question actually, but I'd have to say my Amerikilt denim is my fav so far. (so many kilts, so little funding)
It just fits real well and is so simple.
As much as I love all the bells and whistles of the UK, sometimes less is more.

And yeah...you do have to be careful when giving compliments, however it wasn't like I was gonna go hit on anybody. Working in retail has really helped me understand people's boundaries (my own included) I'd like to think I have somewhat of a handle on what's acceptable to say to a complete stranger. I think... heh

"power of the kilt"....i'm begining to think that's an understatement!
I'm not what you'd call an ugly girl, but I wouldn't say I'm a hottie either....pretty average by most standards. It's just I never really get noticed when I'm not wearing such a cool garment. I find the kilt really lets people approach you.
I'm prolly getting noticed half as much as a sharp dressed man in a kilt.....and you full time wearers...must be just on the moon with good feeling!
