New Kilt Pins
I picked up a package from the post office this evening. It contained the two kilt pins I ordered from ScottishKilts.net in my attempt to have a unique pin for each kilt.
The first is the pin on my MacIan tartan:

The other is the new pin on my German National Tartan:

I'm want to have not only a different pin for each tartan, but also a unique design for each pin.

Great looking kilt pins. I have been looking at a few of those ones for months. Maybe if the tax man doesn't take everything I will order a few.

That's a great idea. Now to convince my wife to let me buy more accessories.

Two nice pins there, Dave, and I like the way you have colour co-ordinated the stones with the tartans. I particularly like the second one, with its unusual design. Personally, with all my kilts, I have had my fill of sword kilt pins and am constantly on the look-out for pins that are that little bit different.
As many of us have said in the past, it is vitally important (for the good of our kilts) to have a pin for each one and for it to be removed only when having the kilt cleaned.
I particularly like these from St.Justin:

Thanks Hamish. I remembered your advice about a pin for each kilt. I was specifically looking for a pin with a yellow stone for the MacIan tartan, as that is the kilt I am going to wear with my formal outfit and I wanted it a bit fancy.
I really liked the design on the second one myself. It's still somewhat martial in appearance with the hammer shape, but it wasn't the all too common sword. Like I said, it's from ScottishKilts.net, in their Celtic kilt pins.
The designs on the link you provided are also interesting. I'll have to keep them in mind for future kilts.

Those are indeed very nice. I had been looking at these pins on Scottishkilts.net, and now that I see how nice they look on a kilt I want a couple even more.

I have a very unusual "kilt pin" that I obtained while shopping some of the small antique stores in town. I found it in a cookie jar of pins on the counter.
It is a round 1 1/2" button style pin that says:
Do you think my D!(k is too long for this skirt?
I couldn't resist buying it. ![Laughing](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
Nice kilt pins....love the color coordination.
