and its about time, too.
Finally managed to scrounge a digital. Good God, an old digital. Better than nothing at the moment, I guess. Heres some pics for you'se guys, eh.
First kilt made.
..and my muted Macleod in some horrible blend. Please be gentle. Everything is virtually perfect on it, but sitting on it all day today has given it some interesting curves.
...and the wife's kilted skirt, PEI tartan. Thats actually my 12 year modeling, which is why it seems baggy. The Mrs. is in New Brunswick.
...cordura "combat" sporran, with Infra-red detectable flag. Skian dubh, with my old saudi bauble on it. Thats a copy, not the real one, nobody go nuts.
I did take one featuring my handsome gob, but I think I've had far too much coffee the past few days and couldn't keep the damned camera steady enough.

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."

Close as I could come last night to a self portrait. This is what a kilted Canuck, juiced up on coffee looks like. Veerrry shaky...
Yeah, the Macleod is nice. I don't normally like it, but these muted tones were great, reminded me of the tartan for the Irish Regiment of Canada. $2/metre at Wallymart. Needless to say, I still have alot. Some blend, a little wool, mostly acrylic I'd say. Horrible stuff to work with. Plain weave, kinda loose. Thats why the butt picks look so wavy. Sitting does the pleats in something fierce.
The saffrons I have are great. The old is like amber, the new is like copper.
