D.C. area tailors?
Any recommended tailors in the D.C. (Silver Spring, MD) area?
I have a couple casual coats I am going to cut down to kilt jackets.
much grass,

I work in Silver Spring, but I have no ideas about tailors. I couldn't justify the expense of a hand-made kilt.
There's a place in Alexandria that may be able to advise(large Scottish population there). It's a store called Scottish Merchant. I know they sell tartans and kilt accessories(sporrans, pins, etc.). Give 'em a call or stop by.. They're located on King Street.
Edit:
Just checked their website.. Looks like they do tailoring.

I highly recommend Field English Custom Tailors in upper Georgetown. They're not cheap, but Mr. Field and son are ace tailors.

That's good to know. I've been looking for a good tailor in the area myself.
Thanks!
