    New Stillwater site

Stillwater has updated his web site.

Looks great Jerry! I like seeing more of those color kilt pics!

Hey, thanks for the heads up! I just found on their "bumped and bruised" list, an Irish National in my size I emailed and hopefully they still have it and it shall soon be mine! I explained to the soon-to-be-Mrs. that it's a MUST have for the honeymoon, that my wool Henderson ancient would be entirely too lonely on the long trip... And of course, I must honour my mother's Irish side. Thanks again!

Nice site. Does anyone here have one of the black "shadow tartan" kilts? If so, just how visible is the tartan pattern in normal daylight?

I've been curious of that myself. I did notice in someone's profile the Irish Saffron (which also features the shadow tartan pattern) but I can't remember who had it.

Here are 2 pics of the Shadow Tartan. It is visible if you look in normal light, but most people will probably think it is a solid color kilt, unless you point it out. The first pic was taken indoors with a flash and you can just barely make out the pattern if you look closely.

I do and love it. In fact I am wearing it right now. It has a lot of pleats, great "swish", and is 100% wool. I love how the "Shadow Tartan" pattern only shows up now and then.

Jerry's service at Stillwater Kilts is legendary. Highly recommended!

    Cheers

Oh, I should point out that mine is a 2005, and not in wool but heavy weight acrylic.

    Saffron Shadow Heavy Weight

I have the Saffron kilt (see a couple of pics on the link below).

The pattern is very subtle and is only visible under certain lighting. Overall quality of the kilt is great. Mine's wool and weighs about 4 pounds.
