Looking for hardware to make a kilt belt

I stopped my a local leather shop to talk about making a kilt belt and sewing the sporan I am making. I can get everything done there that I need. But, i cannot find the loop that goes on the end of the kilt belt. I can find the loops easily, but I cannot find one that has the bent section where the buckle tab goes.

I have searched around my usual sources like Lowy Enterpises but none of them have them. I also do not know the proper name for it so it makes it harder to find.

The leather worker is really interested in helping me out and he wants a source of these loops for his business. He makes shaving strops and needs some for the hangers. I really want to help this guy out and in turn help myself out by finding a source.

    Thanks

    Doc

Thats close but not what we are looking for. You could probably remove the weird tab from the loop. But, I would rather find the ones used by most kilt belt makers. Less hassle.

That one is made for the buckle end... We need the one for the other end. It has the bent area to prevent the buckle tab from sliding up and down the D-ring.

Might even try and call these companies and ask if they carry them. Sometimes they don't put everything on their web site.

I found these: 2" to 1" Nickel Metal Slide
    at http://www.cdwplus.com/singleMS.html#anchor349828

They are very similar to what we are looking for. Except that the ones we want t do not have the middle bar. These may work for what I want but I need to measure to be sure.

I stopped by the leather shop and showed him the one I found online. It appears that we really need the kilt belt style. I have a hard time believeing that there are no sources for this. Someone has to have access to them.

:-) I just have to figure out that they are called so I can google. Any continued help would be appreciated.

From what I've seen, these types of products are sold ONLY to wholesale customers. The manufacturers or distributors won't sell something like this to the general public (or even to a small business trying to get off the ground). You might try L&M Outfitters, but I had no luck with them when I tried to get setup as a customer.
