Hose 'accessories'

Was snooping around for hose when one site stated, 'We also produce sock tops only which can be interchanged and worn with basic cream or white kilt hose.'
Now there's a good idea....as it only means knitting a straight run, no shaping, -you could combine colours if you can't match existing hose colours and could mix cabling or popcorn etc.

Hose tops have been available for years, Phil, mainly for pipers' and military hose though. Are the ones you saw for ordinary everyday use? Link please?

I believe hose tops are only worn with spats. I don't know many people who wear spats without also wearing a whole lot of other military stuff.
