    Ulster (ancient) in PV someday?

I have no idea how hard it is to get certain tartan patterns in the PV material; I imagine it isn't the easiest thing in the world. But I was wondering if maybe, someday, the ancient Ulster tartan might be available for a casual or semi-trad kilt?

It occurs to me that Rocky has mentioned what the minimum order is for PV from his supplier...it was, if I remember correctly, a WHOLE lot of yardage...perhaps he can fill the number in. I expect that there would have to be a lot of interest in the tartan for them to run it....either that or an individual would have to underwrite the whole order...yikes!

I would certainly be interested in a PV version of an Ulster ancient.

What do you mean by 'Ulster Ancient'? The 'BROWN Ulster' tartan or the RED Ulster tartan?

To answer the question, the minimum yardage we must order is 130 Meters.

As an ASIDE, we are expecting a new Irish tartan in PV very soon... Tara / Murphy Muted.

My vote would be for the HOE Ulster weathered colors. If I remember correctly and can do the math, the minimum order works out to about 47 Semi-Traditionals. Is that about right Rocky?

Here is the reason number 1 is my vote: a Newsome Box in HOE Weathered Ulster.

I would SO buy a casual kilt in the "brown" Ulster tartan (the Ulster Provincial posted above) or in the Ulster Weathered (also posted above). I'm not partial to the Ulster Red tartan, but the other two are of absolute interest to me, even above my clan tartans (my Scots ancestry is traced through Antrim in Ulster, so geneologically [as well as geographically!] I'm closer to Ireland than Scotland).
