    Camo Kilt, 7th I've Made

I just finished this and the flashes, before dinner. Little girl is asleep and I can now post some pictures. I'm sporting a $13 sporran from Ebay. It's pretty cool w/ some hand carving knotwork (there's a link under accessories if anyone is looking). The Kilt has a 18 inch tapered apron with 8, 7cm full box pleats and two huge deep 7 inch under apron pleats.

My first box pleated kilt, The camo pattern even repeats nicely.

Had to go with the matching flashes to complete the deerslayer outfit.

Great work. I'm starting to prefer the traditional high-waisted look in the non-trad fabrics.

    Hi,

Outstanding job; love the way the pattern repeats. Thanks for the link to the leather goods, some nice stuff there.

    BTW, the buffet is wonderful.

O'Neille, that appears to be a very beautiful kilt (and I love the camouflage pattern - what is it?), but I cannot see the pleating at all! Please may we have a close-up shot?

I appreciate the fact that this is essentially a hunting kilt, but would you wear a white T-Shirt whilst hunting? Assuming that you would not, and that you are therefore dressed casually for this photo, might I suggest (with the greatest respect) that you lose the bottle green hose in favour of a pair in oatmeal? To my eyes ("and who asked", I hear you mutter!) the green hose and black boots are just too 'heavy' looking with that T-Shirt. Fine with a bottle green shirt, but not white. My apologies for the personal criticism, but what you are wearing below the knees hit me almost before I noticed the kilt!

That camo pattern has certainly gone onto my 'wants' list, but I daresay it is an obscure American one that is not available over here!

First it is Super-Flauge Game. Here is a shot of the sewn down fell as well as the 7cm pleats.

I will get a close-up shot as well as a better style shot and detail of the pockets. I just didn't feel like putting together an outfit late last night, but I wanted to show my flashes and I don't own any oatmeal hose (adding a pair to my list). I need to get some knee high ragwool socks for this anyway. I think I need a valet, this one doesn't give me the Hamish style guide. And thanks for the delicately put critique, your diplomacy is outstanding.

Is that a TC Renegade next to the valet?
