Talking First (real) kilt on order!

About 24 hours ago I ordered a 50" (yeah, I am big -- so?) SWK Standard Nightstalker.

I'll just go sit in the corner now and quiver in anticipation.

The "Nightstalker" is a SWK tartan. Black based with grey.

Waiting a week (or less) for an "off the peg" kilt is nothing. However, Waiting anywhere from 6 weeks to 4 months (or longer) for a handsewn can boost the anticipation level a bit!

With Stillwater, it will be more like 2 to 3 days, possibly 4. I don't know if Jerry has the old Enterprise transporter working on holidays.

You aren't kidding! It amazes me how fast I get stuff from him.

Ive been musing on the jonesing factor a bit, with these thoughts as an outcome. we order a kilt, and want it now. but we have to wait until it's finished. we want to have, so we fill the waiting time thinking of having until we must have, at which point we order something that will get here soon. with me it was a SWK saffron over a weekend while waiting for my gordon modern tank. this "instant having" really cut my jonesing for a while, like methadone for a heroin addict. then the "having" started to wear off and i ordered a pair of oatmeal hose, flashes, and a sgian dubh from the Tartans Museum. once more my having was satisfied for a bit. unfortuantely i had to send the hose back for a different size, but this gave me the opportunity to add a pair of lovatt green hose to go with a shirt i had bought recently to go with the SWK, and a buzz kidder in brown, because i need to "have" a brown day sporran. This was a small "having" fix which, after it wore off, had to be dealt with by ordering a special forces balmoral from glengarryhats.com, which i'm currently waiting on.

the desire to "have" kilts and kilt paraphernalia must be satisfied.

He he. In the last week I have bought socks, a shirt, two  kilt pins, sporran and a sporran strap. That leaves me shoes, flashes, a belt and a sgian dubh to get.
