be careful who you talk about
Yesterday I spent manning a stall (but stop calling them that with you Americans) - a BOOTH! at our civic centre, it was to promote Scottish Country Dancing for Seniors Week. We had a display and I was there in a kilt, naturally.
A lady came up to me, seeing the kilt, began to tell me that she sees a man walking up and down her road, always in a kilt, even in cold weather. She said she thinks he is a signwriter....
I said 'what a nutter he must be'...I let her continue for a while then told her "that man is me..."
We had quite a laugh about it.
