To Long To Wait
I was talking to my parents last night and they told that me that they would be getting me a full kilt package from kiltstore.net, which is great except for one thing. I'm not going to graduate for almost three years(I'm a sophmore). So I have to Jones for about 3 years. So the whole situation is very bittersweet.

The projected timeline notwithsdtanding, it is nonetheless a fabulous gift to be be enjoyed for a lifetime. Perhaps in the meantime the folks could be talked into one of the less expensive alternatives available from the many talented kilt konstructors here.... for Xmas maybe....

Meanwhile, satisfy yourself with a couple SK's, a USAK or 2..... not to mention various and sundry accessories as found while surfing the web
Good on your parents.

Even though it is a really long time to wait it is still a very wonderfull and thoughtfull gift, and I plan on thanking my parents for it every day until the day it is delivered upon my door step and many more times after that. I only have an usak but i'm planning on using my saved up birthday money and whatever money I for christmas to buy another kilt. I recently got a catolog from The celtic croft and I'm thinking that my next kilt will be from there.

My Dad got me a kilt for my graduation. Of course I was 42 and it was my doctorate. At least you don't have to jones for 27 more years. O'Neille

I suppose I should change the name of the thread because I don't think any amount of time is to long to wait for a kilt.

Josh, I see that you're from Vacaville. That's not very far from many of us here in the San Francisco Bay Area!
Check the "Kilt Night" forum for dates where us SF Bay kilties are going to have a Burns Supper. Maybe you could convince your mom or dad to come down with you and meet the lot of us in Pacifica. You can wear your USA Kilt and a white shirt and a tie...hose and black shoes, and that's plenty dressed up for us folks!
