    Kilted Comeback

Friday I had to go to my financial advisor's office to drop off a check and I was in the Nightwatch Camouflage Utilikilt Mocker (a special order for me) with a black t-shirt from the L.A. Rebellion Rugby team, and my Doc Marten. Mind you I also am 6'0, 230#, former rugby player, with a shaved head.

I got onto the elevator and one of the women asked if it was a Utilikilt because her son wants one for Christmas and before I could answer her, one of the "suits" came onto the elevator, took one look at me, gave me a snide look, and said, "That's not a tartan I recognize."

I turned to him and said, "Well it's the S***kicker's Tartan and our motto is 'Don't sing it, just bring it.'" He blushed considerably as I resumed my conversation with the woman about the wonders of the UK.

As for the suit, he got off one floor before myself and the woman (same company, different floor). The woman informed me that he was the office jerk and she enjoyed watching me put him in his place. Kinda put me in a good mood for the rest of the day.

Hmmm, must be the season or the barometer.

Last night I was in town for our local hot air balloon festival (50 balloons). They had 21 of them lined up on the main street for a night time balloon glow and street fair. Small town. Saw a lot of friends and coworkers.

One group of coworkers included a nasty lady I worked with for five years before she left the agency. Before working at our agency she'd been a coffee shop waitress with a nasty attitude. And that has not changed. Over five years working with her she always greeted me with a snide comment rather than a greeting. And wasn't just me....she seemed to need to dig at everyone.

So when I ran into this group she immediately said something about me wearing a skirt. I just turned to her and said, "You know you love it B**tch" with the emphasis on the last word.

She had no response, but the six other coworkers broke out laughing...at her. Don't normally like to be rude to ignorant skirt comments, but sometimes you just gotta play hardball.

O Man! That was good! Best off-the-cuff I have ever heard. I'll add that to my list.

646guy, awesome response! You are my hero, I usually come up with those responses about 10 minutes later.

And Ron, sometimes you have to be rude to people to get them to pay attention. sounds like she is one of those people.
