    Saffon Kilt from Stillwater

My Irish Saffon Kilt, and flashes from Stillwater Kilts showed up last friday as did my new belt and buckle from USAKilts.

It was really cold out over the weekend so I wore my leather jacket with a tan polo shirt on to match my Oatmeal Hose.

    This is my posh look

I'm not smiling in these pics because I've got this really bad eye infection, but I had to get some pics of this Kilt. The colour is so much better in person. This is the first time I've tried to wear Flashes so I'm hoping I did it right .

Nice! One note about the flashes...not to be the "Tartan Police" or anything, but I've heard (not sure if this is true, however...) that the front most vertical edge of the flash should bisect your shin. That's how I wear mine, anyway...Great look!

I never wear mine tha way. Just as some people tie their ghillies to the side (rather than the front) others wear their flashes to the side rather than the...um...frontal-ish side.

    Big Dave,

Looking good; the saffron is a great kilt and goes well with oatmeal hose and your new belt. Nice to get Christmas presents early, eh?

Hope you get that eye infection cleared up quickly.

In theory there is no difference between theory and practice but in practice there is.

True: I prefer the look of the flashes to the side.

Good heavens, will someone please summon the Tartan Constabulary! His flashes are 3.7 millimeters mis-aligned! Dear God! And tilted at an improper angle, too!

Remember the words of Bear: "Kilts are garments, not costumes." Or uniforms, it might be added. Unless you happen to be in the Queen's Own Royal Highlanders or such.

Agreed. They'd look better a bit forward.
