just thought i would throw this one out there as a testimony to the power of the kilt...
A theatre producer friend has an annual Chanukah party & invites friends from his various walks of life. I was tired of wearing the same old same old so donned my black UK-styled casual kilt, a long sleeved Tshort with a lion Rampant variant on the chest & and headed off to the party.
Got a few interesting reactions & comments (including one couple pondering the probability of my having made a mad dash from a show/rehearsal and not having enough time to change...) from the assembled throng but paid it no mind as i have gotten all to used to such of late...
ANYWAY the highlight of the evening was the amazing level of interest from potential paramours.... one started in at the front door upon entering, questioning if this my usual garb for Chanukah parties & the like, while 3 others were a little more subtle in their interest. The capper of the eve was the most audacious of the bunch asking the question, to which i replied 'How warm are your hands' ... discretion mandates that i leave the rest to your imagination.![]()
the pisser of the whole thing is that i am in the midst of early explorations with a potential suitor of significance who reminded me that I first garnered his attention when i arrived at a volleyball game in which we were both playing kilted (no i didn't play in the kilt - just wore it there)....
gotta love the power of the kilt!!!
