Scottish Eggs SUCCESS!! My arteries are hardening...

Alright. I made a batch tonight. They were a COMPLETE success. The only thing I'll be doing different next time, is adding a wee bit of salt to the breadcrumbs. I know it was mentioned to do so, but I failed to as I thought it was a bit much. I used Jimmy Dean's Sage sausage and medium eggs (smallest I could get.) Rolled them in plain bread crumbs, and fried them in plain veggie oil. Anyway, they are everything my belly hoped!

Here's a snappy of a half dozen. I recommend everyone trying these.

YOM! I love Scotch Eggs, but I limit myself to Tartan Day. My family's cholesterol is already too high!

Now you know why my son and I stop and look at the home kitchen deep fryers at the store while my wife stands there and says, "No way am I gonna let you two buy a deep fryer."

Sometime, when your wife is not with you, I recommend the Presto brand "Granpappy" fryer.

Not only is it it ideal for Scottish eggs, it is EXACTLY what you need for Buffalo-style chicken wings.
