    Dry clean new wool

I know that when I make x-kilts I have to wash the fabric before I use it to get it to shrink some. But I have 4 yards of double width 10 oz wool, do I need to take this to the dry cleaners first? I don't remember seeing anything about that in Barb's book, but thought I should check. If not I hope to start next weekend.

I made a kid's kilt out of a SWK fly plaid, It came out pretty good, so now to do a real one. My main advantage is that i have been hand sewing for years, and I am better at that than machine sewing, so that part doesn't take me as long. I am horrible at math though so that part is a challenge me.

No one else has said anything, so I will give you my opinion.
I don't think you have to do anything with it. Go ahead and make your kilt.
Dry cleaning it after you make it shouldn't cause any shrinkage problems.

Good luck with it. Be sure to post the results

I always understood that dry cleaning didn't shrink anything...
