In the Mail
My application to the Medieval Institue at Western Michigan University is in the mail. Now I have to finish and send my applications to York, Leeds, Reading, St. Andrews, and Bristol (the only grad school I'm applying to in the USA is WMU).
Keeping my fingers crossed.

If you get accepted to any of the ones you listed, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Grad school is a great experience, and, if I didn't have to eat, I'd probably just stay in school.
BTW, what does one study at the Medieval Institute?

Well, studying for a Masters degree involves a lot of studying Latin and paleography (learning how to read medieval manuscripts), along with content courses covering a whole variety of topics.
My ultimate goal is a PhD, but the Masters is a step to that.

Congrats and good luck.
Maybe a course in paleography is what I need to help me decipher my students' handwriting

Good Luck Nick.
My niece graduated from Western Michigan several years ago, she loved it (met her husband there).
A friend from the coffee shop (yes that place) is a professor of Medieval History.
I do have a funny feeling that wherever you go you will be a success. GOOD LUCK again.
