Bannockburn
Cessna152towser asked if I had any more images and there might just be one or two. How about we visit Bannockburn and some of the festivities there?
There is an annual commemoration at Bannockburn, to celebrate the Battle of 1314 and some of these images are from one such event.
Some of the march participants, from back in '05.
Part of the flower-laying ceremony, at the rotunda
Some 'acquaintances' at the Bruce Monument
This commemoration took place a few days before the historic Walk for Wallace. A pal of mine in Belgium created a small plaque that several of us were able to 'sign', showing our support for David Ross on this undertaking. The plaque was presented that evening at the Tartan Arms. (You'll have to excuse the party banner in the background)
A close-up of the plaque.
A rather fuzzy image of Gaberlunzie, performing on the evening.

On 25 march 2006, there was a commemoration to mark the anniversary of the coronation of Robert the Bruce.

Kevin Williamson of the SSP
Iain Ramsay of the Celtic League

One of the plaques on the rotunda monument
The other plaque
The young fellow in this image is my Belgian pal that designed the plaque for David Ross. He flew across from Belgium for three days and came to the Stirling area for a whirlwind tour, before heading to Lanark for the Homecoming the next day.
