I've been inititated...my first real kilt check
Last night the Luminous Joan and I went to a local theatre/club to hear Mollys Revenge and Tempest. MR is a very traditional ceileidh band, while Tempest is very much Celtic Rock. An Irish couple, quite young (early 20's) sat down on stools next to us. They proceeded to finish off a number of beers.
The young lady asked me a couple of questions during Mollys Revenge's set, and we chatted a bit. Mind you, it's somewhat dark and she's next to me on my right, with Joan on my left. there's not a lot of room here, so we're bumping shoulders a lot.
Well, after about the fourth Tempest tune, I feel a hand on my right knee, and it rather quickly proceeded upwards. When it encountered cotton under the PV, it stopped and I laughed and said rather loudly...
"Sorry to disappoint you....out with the Wife, don't you know?"
.........and let it go at that. I found it amusing, actually.

That doesn't seem to matter to young women when they encounter an older man in a kilt.

It has never happened to me. I am not sure how I would react. But I must say I find it curious that guys would not do such a thing, and if we did we'd expect to get slapped, arrested or both. But chicks seem to take it as a right. I really don't get it.

I must be a prude, because that would offend me greatly.

It'd offend my fiance greatly but I've been kilt checked with my belted plaid. My friend White Rabbit decided he was going to take his digital camera and point it up my kilt and take a snapshot! Needless to say he wanted to post it on his site Underground Ozarks, but I told him no... as I was regimental... ![Embarassed](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)
I do get asked almost every time by my friend Camiel if I'm regimental... and I just say, why don't you find out! BTW, she's a lesbian but she keeps saying if I keep telling her that that one day she'll just have to check!

I would not call you a prude. Some folks just react differently to different situations.
