Atlanta Kilts Tomorrow Night?
I just came across a listing for tomorrow night, Friday, March 2, Póg! will be playing at the Celtic Tavern, 918 Commercial St NE, Conyers, GA 30012 (770) 785-7001.
I have never heard them, but from their website they look lively and accomplished: http://www.pog-ga.com/
The site I saw the notice on doesn't have the time they will be playing nor the cost of the cover, if any.
Anyone up for a sudden kilted Friday night back in Conyers?

I can't make it tomorrow night but I see they do have several scheduled dates in Atlanta (specifically Paddy's) so I may check them out one of those dates.
Let us know what you think of their music, I've never heard them before but they look fun from their pics.

Do you do these often in Atlanta? I'll be relocating there this fall and should be down a few times between now and then.

We have had one plus a Burns supper (that I know of), all since January. Another is planned, don't remember the date we are shooting for.
Several things are coming up. A band, The Border Collies, will be playing at Fado, an Irish pub, on St Patrick's day, and the next night Battlefield Band from Scotland will play at the Red Light Cafe on Amsterdam Ave in Midtown. The latter are said to be quite good, but I have never heard their music.

There's been two (including the Burns Dinner that I've been a part of) I think there might have been one or two others.
We are really just starting to get these going. The problem is we are all pretty spread out and traffic in Atlanta is a bear. So we are in the process of finding a rotation of places to meet. I believe the next is scheduled for Fado's in Buckhead. Not sure of the date.

We just need someone to set it up. Any volunteers?
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
