Dresscode Victory
At my workplace where the majority of our work is done in the field the policy has been "you must wear long pants, no shorts" a merger has faced my supervisor with an issue. One of the new team menbers is our "Mikey Tutle" he never wears trousers, I have seen him wade through knee deep snow in his shorts. Rather than start a battle he might loose he announced a change in policy that "shorts are now allowed, no Chippendales, no lycra or spandex, no gym shorts and they must be loose andcome to the knee" I asked him "what you mean is a bifurcated loose fitting male garmet that stops at the knees instead of the ankle". His reply That's what I mean". Yesterday the UK workman came out with the "modesty closure" engaged, his reaction, "I said shorts not kilts", I pulled the apron to prove the UK workman was "bifircated" and got the reply "That's really splitting hairs now I see why you made me agree to a precise definition, you win".

Aw-rite!
Main thing here is that someone used common sense instead of a fall-back position of, "But the dress code policy says . . ."

In a democracy it's your vote that counts; in feudalism, it's your Count that votes.
