Highland Holiday 2006 #3
The Castle of Mey, former retreat of the late HM the Queen Mother.
The John O' Groats Hotel. A lot of the building is currently semi-derelict and empty.

Nice epics, Trefor. I had lunch in the John O'Groats hotel first time I went there many years ago, but last time I was there in 2004 I felt that all the new tourist shops which had sprung up there detracted from the once rural and remote atmosphere of the spot.

Brings back memories of our first visit to Scotland. Your pic of the cathedral is better than what I got though. I may have to add it to my collection.

I'm glad the pictures are going down well.
Looking at them again makes me look forward to my next trip in May which is a coach trip with my Mum and based in Dundee!

Trefor,
I have been to Edinburgh and the surrrounds, Glasgow then up to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs and a visit to Stirling as well. The way I travel I figure that see a piece at a time that way I have a reason to return. That should keep me going back for many years to come. I never do those tours where you are cattle being moved from place to place. But will do a day tour if there is someplace I want to see. I know I want to get to the Isle of Skye among so many other places.
