    Animation ideas?

Hey, I'm in my 3D Computer Animation class right now, and short on project ideas... Any suggestions?

A rugby match? 30 guys on the pitch at once. Plenty of opportunity there.

I would think that realistically rendering the swish of the pleats on a walking kiltie would be a pretty significant challenge.

Okay - blinding flash of inspiration, it is yours for free. The Standing Stones at Callanish, the Ring of Brodgar, and others - local legend often refers to these as the Dancing Men. There is usually some back story, not necessary to the main idea. Just a ring of rough stones, some leaning, some fallen. These are often seen as related to some celestial event, so pick one, sunset on Midwinter's Day or Midsummer's Day, or even an eclipse. So then as the moon goes into eclipse, say, have them slowly transform into men, and begin to dance, until the end of the eclipse.

You might want to do some research on the legends behind the stone rings, to fill out the idea.

    Good luck with it.
