    New Website Idea

So I'm interested in web design, have free time to kill, and love scottish culture. Well in my infinate boredom I think I've come up with a decent idea for a website. If there's enough interest I'd like to start a "sept search" where instead of jumping randomly from website to website I'd just have an alphabetical list of last names and by looking a certain surname up you can see the clans associated with that name. I don't know if there's something spefically used for this so I wanted to hear what other people thought. I also would like other people to help me if I decide to undergo this process so I wouldn't have to compile the oodles of names there are.

    What do you think?

I think you have a great idea - and hey, there's always room for a better mouse trap! Just think of all the interesting stuff you get to learn about clans and septs as you figure out how to put all this together.

Let us all know how its going - ok?

Electric Scotland is one of the better Scottish resources out there, no question that Alastair has done a remarkable job.

I looked into trying to offer a comprehensive search site at one time. It took me about 6 or 7 hours of effort to realize that linking to Electric Scotland was my best bet.
