Two weeks till LV games...roll call!

I posted this in the "general" forum as more people will see it. Hopefully the mods will see fit to leave it here.

Ok fellow Xmarkers...it's only two weeks until the Las Vegas Celtic Festival and Highland Games. I thought I'd start a "roll call" thread to pin down exactly who will be there.

Karen and I have a room at the Imperial Palace booked, and we'll be arriving sometime Friday afternoon. I don't know what is worse...jonesing for a new kilt, or the jonesing for this vacation!

If any other members are arriving Friday, perhaps we could arrange an impromptu kilt night at one of the pubs that night.

For people who are flying in and won't have a car to get around with, we can carry up to 8 people in our Durango, I don't mind being a "bus driver".

With that in mind, who will be attending the games?

I still want to go, but I have to fly out to Denver on Sunday for a week long meeting with my company, so I am not positive.

Marilyn and I Have our tickets and Hotel reservations and will be getting there Friday nite, Not to sure on the time. It takes about 7-8 hrs to drive but we are going to stop and site see at Valley of Fire just east of LV. We are staying at the casino at Freemont and Main (Golden Gate Hotel and Casino).

Bleak for me. Marjorie's on call at the hospital that weekend and we're off to the Gathering of Nations the weekend after.

Ok, it's almost a certainty that I am going, and I'll be arriving Thursday night/Friday morning. Not sure where we are staying yet, but I'll let you know.

For all those who will be in LV on Friday, any thoughts on a pre-games get together Friday evening? Perhaps at the Tilted Kilt in the Rio, or 9 Fine Irishmen in NY NY?

Haven't posted for quite a while, though I've lurked from time to time. Just busy at other things.

Since I live here, I'll certainly be at the games, both days. Look in the vicinity of the St Andrew's Society of Southern Nevada tents for a bearded old fart in a Hunting Grant (aka Black Watch) kilt. (My wife doesn't like for me to wear my Grant kilt, which she made, where it might get messed up whilst fetching, carrying, and doing similar grunt work.)
