Hamilton Dry Goods; two thumbs up

I've bought a lot of socks from Hamilton Dry Goods, via ebay. They're all cotton, but around here I don't really need wool.

the prices are good, the shipping is fast and fairly priced and the two new pairs I just got (in "natural color") look great.

Two thumbs up from this guy for Hamilton Dry Goods.

did you get the ribbed or the cable knit? I've tried both and while the ribbed are thicker the cable knit are WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY longer and look very nice.

available in several colors, though not green yet. The ribbed are only available in 3 colors as far as I know but it's worth a phone call to see if he has any "one-of's" on hand.

Ron's socks are great. I got three pairs of his merino wool socks they are way soft but do have a tendency to streach so I put them in the washer and dryer on delicate and they come back to shape and they are extreamly long. they also have elastic in the tops and they stay up all by them selves.

I have three pair of the original kilt socks and two pair of the new cable-knit socks. All are well made, and it's great to get good-looking dress socks for a fraction of the cost of wool hose. And they're easier to care for too.
I do switch back to wool in the depths of winter, though.

Why do I not see all these hose options on their website?

You have to call Ron and talk to him and he will let you know what he has in stock.

The ribbed and cable-knit are new, and apparently only available on their eBay store at present.

I bought two pair of the natural-color cotton rib knit and I just wore one all day today, from church through family dinner, 12 hours in them. They look great and I'm mighty pleased with the purchase. They were twenty one bucks, including shipping, for two nice pair 'o kilt socks.

I've had one of their "chunky kilt socks" for about 18 months now and I wear them more-or-less weekly. They are finally wearing out in the heel, but for eleven lousy dollars you can bet that I'm gonna get another pair!
