Kid's hose, flashes, and other gear

Does anyone have a good source for kid's kilt hose, flashes, and other gear?

I got him a MacKenzie tartan kilt from MacHummell at Canadian Casual kilts and couldn't be happier with it (see here http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=23556 ).

Well, my little cousin is getting married in a month and my son has mentioned that he wants to wear his new kilt. I had some old hose (dancer hose from tartantown), but he has outgrown those. So I am looking for some kid's kilt hose and possibly some flashes. I would prefer black or lovat green coloured hose, but I also want fairly cheap so beggars can't be choosers.

    Anyone have any recommendations?

Why not try some soccer/rugby socks, they come in kids sizes and come in every colour,

    Kid's sizes equals woman's department

When getting all the sons and grandsons properly dressed for our wedding last summer, my wife got the smaller boys, girl's knee socks and the medium size boys were outfitted from the woman's dept.of the local department store. For flashes, search the old threads, several folks, including my wife, have made them for themselves and kids. Really is a lot cheaper to get some elastic and velcro and ribbon. All the best.

Thanks guys, I have actually made about a 6-8 pairs of flashes in the past, but was looking for some matching tartan flashes. I have some MacKenzie flashes that Bear made me to match my 4 yard from him. I will likely just fold those up for my son to use that day (with a smaller strip of velcro though).

As for hose, I am not a fan of rugby or soccer socks personally, but I will check and see what they have for kids.

I saw those, but when I read further it talked about how these are socks for that new baby, and are suitable for infants and toddlers. I have a feeling they may be small for my 6 year old.

I just ordered 5m of 38mm (1-1/2") Mackenzie Ribbon to make some flashes for my son and I to go with the Scottish National Tartan. Not sure how soon you need it or how nice the ribbon fabric is I'm getting, but I'll let you know when I do, if your still looking to make some flashes. Could be a few weeks before I get it.

I ordered a pair of hose from this ebay company, and just saw this post for Childerns kilt hose, you never know they might have the colours you want.
