Scottish scenery
Here are a couple of photos showing the Linn of Dee where the River Dee passes through the Mar Lodge estate above Braemar on Royal Deeside. It is well worth a visit if you are in the area. Sorry no kilts.
Looking downstream
and upstream
and this is the Dee on the Birkhall estate near Ballater - a lot wider now. And full of salmon!

Man, I wish I was there right now instead of stuck in an office today (especially with the song YMCA playing in the background as a group of folks are having a training day!)
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Deeside is an area I have yet to visit so these pictures help to inspire me to do something about it!

Very nice Phil, I shall add it to a list of places I hope to visit next year, we are in the early stages of planning a trip to Scotland.

Lovely pics, Phil, thanks for posting. Where the lady is standing in the second pic looks a bit precarious, one hopes she is wearing footwear which gives a good grip on the terrain!
