Bellingham Games
I went to the Bellingham Games yesterday, and game back with a few photos.
Here's the Massing of the Bands for the opening ceremony -
The Wicked Tinkers were there, tearing it up. They are about half the reason I enjoy going to the games:
Here's Keith Jones letting a lad bang the drum -
Warren Patrick Casey on the Bodhran
Jay Atwood. The kilt is a royal purple tartan of some sort. The pattern was so subtle, I thought it was a solid until he got closer.
I saw this worthy in the audience. Riverkilt, do you have a brother up here?
Off to the beer tent, er, shed.
Boundary Bay brought out a special Scottish Ale they had made for the occasion.
Light shall not pass through....

Bellingham part 2
I found some of the more, er, colorful characters enjoying the ale.
Here are a couple from Clan Anderson:
Here's a solid black from Neokilt. I'm loading it a little larger to try and show detail. Please excuse the refraction from the lens.
Fun games to be sure, but they're only a primer for the bigger games at the end of July.

Warren Patrick Casey on the Bodhran.
That's an intriguing tartan, I wonder what it is?
