Kilts and Health
I did a search and did not see much, so please send the link if this topic has been covered in any detail.
What evidence exists to suggest that wearing a kilt is a healthful improvement over wearing underwear and pants for men? We hear anecdotal comment about the healthy breeze, lower temperature, etc. but is there anything out there that truly substantiates the "health claim" of wearing kilts?

I don't know how to say this without frightening the horses but it appears to be a recognised fact that all the little sailors who live in a gentleman's dangly bits prefer cooler climes hence their position externally. Wearing tight clothing presses them close to the body thus heating them up whereupon thousands of the little souls perish and their owner is then is serious danger of "firing blanks". There I said it.

Don't underestimate the positive psycological impact of kilt wearing!

I couldn't say it any better.

I'm always surprised at the number of people that don't realize _why_ the horses always neighed when her name was spoken. One of Brooks' best movies!

I'm with you on this one: it's done wonders for my mental health 'cause it reminds me to not give a **** about what anybody else thinks of me.

I think we've had some posts on how high waisted kilts offer back support.
For those of us who sit a lot I think the freedom of sitting positions, and ease of rearrangement of a sitting position offered by kilts can be a preventative for those dealing with sciatica.
We've had posts on the possibility of improved sperm production for guys with low sperm count...haven't we?
And, I'm guessing guys who wear tartan kilts are more likely to eat oatmeal which is good for you...

OK, this post is from a girl...but, there are studies available relating to the restriction that the male anatomy suffers in "briefs" type underwear...that is why couples with fertility problems are often advised to have the husband try boxer shorts.
SO, based on this, I'd have to say that kilts are right up there on the top of the list for garments that promote all-around male health and well-being.
Therefore...buy more kilts!! Your doctor may even want to write you a prescription! AND, for those of you who have had problems with being kilted at work, tell 'em that it fits into the employee wellness policy.

I'm sure there's science behind the temperature issue, but it still seems like an old wives' tale to me. I'd have to guess at least a few dozen children are fathered daily by gents who wore tighty whiteys...
